Terms and conditions

Article 1 — Definitions

Cooling-off period: the period within which you can exercise your right of withdrawal. Consumer: the natural person who is not acting in the exercise of a profession or business. Right of withdrawal: your right to cancel the purchase within the cooling-off period. Entrepreneur: madéyu. Distance contract: an agreement concluded exclusively through this webshop.

We do not have a visiting address; madéyu is exclusively a webshop.

Article 3 — Applicability

These terms and conditions apply to every offer on madeyu.nl and to every agreement resulting from it. You can read, save and print them before completing your order. If a provision is null and void, the other provisions will remain in force, and we will replace that one with a provision that comes as close as possible to it.

Article 4 — The offer

Prices are in euros and include 21% VAT. You will see shipping costs before your order is finalized. Images are as true to life as possible; color may vary per screen. An offer is valid while stocks last. Obvious mistakes and errors do not bind us.

Article 5 — The agreement

The agreement is concluded the moment you complete the order and we confirm it by email.

Article 6 — Right of withdrawal

You have a 14-day cooling-off period, starting on the day you receive the last item of your order. How to use this right is described on Right of withdrawal; that page is part of these terms and conditions.

Article 7 — Costs of withdrawal

The direct costs of returning the item are for you. We will refund the purchase amount and the standard shipping costs of your original order within 14 days after we have received your return or after you have demonstrated that you have sent it.

Article 8 — Exclusion of the right of withdrawal

At this moment, we do not exclude the right of withdrawal for any item. Our components come from stock; the fact that we assemble a piece of jewelry for you does not make it an item manufactured according to your specifications. If we later offer personalized items, such as engraving, we will state this on the product page before the purchase and ask you to confirm this in the ordering process.

Article 9 — The price

During the validity period of the offer, we will not increase the price, unless a change in the VAT rate requires it. All prices include VAT.

Article 10 — Conformity and warranty

What we deliver complies with the agreement, the specifications on the website, and what you can reasonably expect from it. You have the rights that Dutch law grants you; these terms and conditions do not affect them. Excluded from the warranty are: wear and tear from normal use, and damage from use that deviates from what is described on Material — such as wearing in chlorinated or salt water or contact with abrasive agents.

Article 11 — Delivery

We deliver in the Netherlands and Belgium, as a letterbox package. The stated delivery time is an indication and not a strict deadline. If your order has not been delivered after 30 days, you may dissolve the agreement free of charge, and we will refund within 14 days. The risk of damage or loss lies with us until the moment you or someone you have designated receives the package.

Article 12 — Payment

Payment is made in advance, via the methods stated in the checkout.

Article 13 — Complaints

Report a complaint within a reasonable time after you have discovered the defect, via info@madeyu.nl. You will receive a substantive response within 14 days in any case. If we need more time, we will let you know within those 14 days with an indication of when you can expect a response.

Article 14 — Personal data

We handle your data as described in the privacy statement.

Article 15 — Applicable law

Agreements between madéyu and you are exclusively governed by Dutch law.
